An Aircraft “Black Box” for Your Car
In comparison to an airline’s black box, a dash cam is a pretty crude device. Sure, it can give a great replay, and usually even in slow-motion if the frame rate is high enough, but what about all of the things it can’t see? Does it record sound inside the car? What about outside? What about different views including both sides and to the rear? What about an inside view of the car? What about brake lights, turn signals, headlight function, high beams? Does any of it matter? Maybe it does if the accident you are in was avoidable.
